                                                              The Definition of Commercial Concrete

Commercial concrete, also known as ready-mixed concrete, is a pre-mixed concrete mix of acceptable quality that is sold to the construction unit in the form of a commodity and transported to the construction site for pouring. Commercial concrete is the production process of concrete, from the selection of raw materials, mix ratio design, the selection of admixtures and adulterants, concrete mixing, concrete transport to the site and a series of projects from one construction site to the mixing station, by the mixing station unified management, all kinds of finished products in the form of commodity supply to the construction unit

Commercial concrete is a change in the production of concrete from rough production to intensive production, realising the specialisation, commercialisation and socialisation of concrete production, which is an important reform in the industrialisation of construction, relying on technological progress to change the small production methods. Commercial concrete first appeared in Europe, to the 1970s, the development of the world's commercial concrete into a golden period, commercial concrete in the total production of concrete has taken absolute advantage.

From the 1960s China adopted ready-mixed concrete in some large water conservancy projects, but for a variety of reasons, the development of commercial  concrete production in China was relatively slow. China's ready-mixed concrete industry started in the 1970s and began to gain momentum in the 1990s. In the last decade, the state has attached great importance to the development of ready-mixed concrete and has introduced a series of strong policies and regulations, especially in 2003 when the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport issued the Notice on the Prohibition of On-site Mixing of Concrete in Urban Areas for a Limited Period of Time, which provided a guarantee for the rapid and healthy development of ready-mixed concrete. 2014 saw the production of commercial concrete in China reach 155,412. 74 million cubic metres, an increase of 32. 9% compared to 2013.

Commercial concrete can ensure the quality of concrete, as the concrete scattered in the site mixing by the limitations of technical equipment, the quality of concrete is not uniform, while the concrete mixing plant from raw materials to product production process have strict control management, accurate measurement, complete inspection means, so that the quality of concrete is fully guaranteed.
